A slight trend towards an increased lifetime and 12-month prevalence was observed among men between 2009 and 2012; however, this trend in men was not statistically significant, nor was it observed in women (lifetime prevalence: 8.2%, 8.5%, 8.7% for men, 9.3%, 8.8%, 9.0% for women [ 10 ]; 12-month prevalence: 7.2%, 7.6%, 7.9% for men, 7.5%, 7.1%, 7.5% for women [ 10 , 16 , 17 ]).
Despite few participants indicating that they worked less than 10 hours per week (n=3), there was a slight trend towards greater stress when fewer hours were worked per week (0–10 h – 36.3 ± 2.3; 10–20 h – 30.8 ± 4.1; 20–30 h – 27.3 ± 5.9; 30–40 h – 27.9 ± 4.4; 40–50 h – 28.0 ± 3.2 points).
