However, in the case of M65 ELISA, a significant trend towards higher levels in the EP group was recorded ( P =0.05 compared with PD and P =0.08 compared with SD, Mann–Whitney U test), indicating that in the OXi4503 cohort of patients, elevated pre-dose may relate to early disease progression.
Moreover, application of the Neumann trend test showed a significant trend ( p < 0.05) for the correlation of the percentage of metabolites with the time between capsule intake and sample expression.
While the total number of births for each year showed a trend of continuous significant decrease, the rate of pregnancies of advanced age (35 years or greater) exhibited a trend of significant increase, from 9.5% in 1992 to 26.2% in 2022 (p-value < 0.001); but, surprisingly, the percentage of pregnancies with extremely advanced age was relatively constant, at 0.1–0.3%, throughout the 30 year-period of the study, not showing a significant trend (p-value > 0.05).
Probably as a consequence of the high rate of G→T mutations, there was evidence of a significant trend towards lower GC content over the course of the evolution experiments when all mutations were collectively considered (chi square p = 0.05).
In particular, a significant trend ( p < 0.05) was observed for the desk and the keyboards, with a mean number of colonies on day 1 of 5 (CI 0–10) and 13 (CI 2–23) CFU/plate (reduction to day 0 of 78.13% and 86.38%, respectively), which remained constant until day 7 with 3 (CI 0–6) and 9 (CI 1–17) CFU/plate (87.50% and 89.96%, respectively) ( Figure 3 ).

A p -value range of 0.050 < p < 0.10 was defined as a significant trend, while p < 0.050 indicated statistical significance.
When the BA or the SPEI time series exhibit a significant trend (i.e., p -value <0.05, assessed with the Mann–Kendall test), we fit the model including the predictor time T .
