For the primary outcome, subgroup analyses based on individual probiotic strains, Limosilactobacillus reuteri was found to have a significant trend in reducing the duration of diarrhea (SMD=−0.62,95% CI:−0.92∼−0.32), while Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus was found to have a significant trend in decreasing the number of children with diarrhea at the completion of the trial (RR = 0.52, 95% CI:0.37∼0.74).
Finally, we conducted post hoc linear regression analyses on the mean estimates for each demographic rate (first‐year survival, adult survival, and productivity) to determine if there was a significant trend over time. 3 Results 3.1 Demographic Parameter Estimates The ATPU breeding population size remained relatively stable at around 8000 pairs (Figure 3A ), while the RAZO population increased from approximately 400 to 2700 pairs (Figure 3B ); the mean annual growth rate ( λ ) was 1.01 (95% CRI 0.87–1.20, Figure 3C ) and 1.10 (95% CRI 0.94–1.26; Figure 3D ) for ATPU and RAZO, respectively.
Participants with the greatest frailty progression (upper tertile of ∆FI) were at significantly increased risk compared to those with minimal change (HR 1.35, 95% CI 1.13–1.63; Table 6 ), also showing a significant trend ( p for trend = 0.001). 3.4 Sensitivity Analyses To ensure the robustness of our findings, competing risk analyses were conducted to account for mortality (Tables S3–S5 ), yielding consistent results.
A trial among elderly surgical patients revealed a significant trend towards increased nausea and vomiting when saline infusion was compared to balanced fluids; two-third of the saline-treated patient group developed hyperchloraemic metabolic acidosis [ 55 ].

Discussion In this systematic review and meta-analysis comparing invasive treatment options for patients with NSTE-ACS, we observed a significant trend toward a benefit of CABG compared with PCI with a longer follow-up with respect to the differences in the pooled RMSTs of all-cause mortality ( Figure 5 ).
Although there was also a significant trend in the risk of non-pulmonary infectious complications across eGFR categories ( P trend < 0.001 in all adjustment models), the risk associated with eGFR categories was much smaller compared to PPCs; <30, 30 to <60, 60 to <90, and ≥120 mL/min/1.73 m 2 in eGFR categories showed fully-adjusted ORs (95% CIs) of 1.11 (0.99 to 1.24), 0.89 (0.84 to 0.95), 0.91 (0.87 to 0.94), and 1.04 (0.96 to 1.11), respectively, (reference: 90 to <120 mL/min/1.73 m 2 ) (Supplemental Table S2 ).
The evaluation of risk of bias over time did not show a significant trend towards improving the quality of the included studies, with low-risk items reported in 44% vs 38% in the most recent half of the papers vs the older ones.
