While the correlation between GDF15 and lean body mass and fat-free mass did not reach statistical significance, there was a positive trend observed (Figure S2-S3) (Table 2 ), suggesting that GDF15, as a target of metformin, plays a significant role in reducing sarcopenia traits and associated risks.
