With the decline of POP pollution in the Baltic Food chain since bans were enforced and the concomitant decline in POPs levels in seals, a positive trend in gynaecological health of Baltic seals has been reported, including a decreased incidence of uterine deformities, uterine leiomyomas, and increased pregnancies (Bergman 1999 ; Helle et al. 2007 ; Bäcklin et al. 2013 ).
Secondary Outcomes Time to onset of WHO severe mucositis was not significantly different between the two arms (log-rank test, p = 0.2429; Figure 2 A), but a positive trend was observed after SAMITAL treatment.
