In the Miami heart trial [ 25 ], a large cohort study enrolling 1808 statin-naïve asymptomatic patients, a positive trend between c-LDL and any plaque (17.9–45.2%) or non-calcified plaque (12.8–23.8%) was observed in the low-risk group.
