( 24 ) evaluated 13 randomized, controlled trials and reported that the effect of dietary protein restriction (GFR decline in treatment minus control) was greater in patients with than in those without diabetes (5.4 mL/min/year [95% CI 0.3–10.5] to 10.5 mL/min/year, P <0.05), with a nonsignificant trend for a greater effect with each additional year of follow-up.
There was a nonsignificant trend towards differential distribution of NGAL mRNA by severity of AKI (mild-to-moderate injury: median 2.1-fold increase (range 1–27.6); severe injury 1.4-fold increase (range 0.7–6.2); no injury 1.4-fold increase (range 0.8–8.2); p = 0.13 for a difference among groups) (Supplemental Figure S8 ).
Narrow-band imaging (NBI) may help visualise endobronchial abnormalities, but data are inconsistent: a small randomised controlled trial (RCT) found no improvement in granuloma yield over white-light bronchoscopy and a prospective series showed only a nonsignificant trend toward better lesion detection; contemporary reports emphasise that NBI's role in sarcoidosis remains to be defined [ 68 – 70 ].
The difference between the prednisolone- and placebo-treated groups did not reach statistical significance for the primary outcome (PANSS total score) after 6 weeks, but we observed a statistically significant difference in the PANSS general score and a nonsignificant trend for the PANSS total score at this point.
The results from the post hoc analysis showed that HRQoL was unchanged or improved at the 6-month follow-up in a significantly greater proportion of the treatment group than the wait-list control group for three of six HRQoL measures, and a fourth measure demonstrated a nonsignificant trend ( Table 3 ).
Furthermore, a previously published signature of Ras/MAPK activation exhibited a positive correlation with the glucose transporter SLC2A3 (GLUT3) and a nonsignificant trend toward positive correlation with the glucose transporter SLC2A1 (GLUT1), both of which are necessary for glycolysis, in publicly available TNBC The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) data ( Supplemental Figure 6 ) ( 32 ).
