However, based on previous transcription profiling work, we noticed a clear trend that indicates that some of these genes are involved in oxidative stress because, as in the case of the (thio)xanthone derivatives, they were either repressed – NCU04907, NCU09428, NCU04910 and NCU02098 – or induced – NCU09830 – by different oxidative stress inducers, namely staurosporine, phytosphingosine and menadione [24] , [25] , [26] , [27] .
In the light of this impact, a clear trend has been observed in the last years towards improving the diagnosis process for that type of diseases, aiming not only to reduce detection time but also to optimize the patient’s care and treatment, while at the same time reducing as much as possible the negative effects on their health that come mainly from late diagnosis and inappropriate treatments [ 1 ].
Although few studies explicitly redefine eligibility criteria for pure laparoscopy, increasing reports of the successful management of Level II–III thrombi, complex vascular reconstructions, and even IVC wall excision without hand assistance or conversion reflect a clear trend toward broader patient inclusion and lower conversion rates.
Plotting the FRET fraction versus intensity of these grouped pixels revealed a clear trend ( Figure 3B , black dots), which was well fitted by Eq. 7 ( Figure 3B , dashed line), with best-fit values of P f = 0.123 ± 0.006 and , where α , the relative brightness of donors engaged in FRET to those not engaged in FRET, was previously estimated by the ratio of lifetimes as 0.45.
