All five signatures previously associated with MMR and the novel MSI-linked signature N4 exhibit a clear trend of replication strand asymmetry (significant in signature (sig.) 6 and N4 in MSI), generally with enrichment of C > T mutations on the leading strand template and C > A and T > C mutations on the lagging strand template (Fig. 4 , Additional file 2 : Figure S13), in line with the previously suggested role of MMR to balance mutational asymmetries generated by DNA polymerases during replication [ 9 , 11 ].
Moreover, in vitro re-stimulation of TDLN cells with ovalbumin (OVA) showed increased proportion of IL-17 + CD4 + T cells in Tmem176b −/− compared with WT mice ( Figure S2 K), and in vivo IL-17A blockade showed a clear trend toward suppression of the antitumor effect in tumor-bearing Tmem176b −/− mice ( Figure S2 L).
Visualization Comparison of Linear and Nonlinear Processing Modes In the spectral map output of systematic clustering, different color blocks were mixed and arranged, indicating that the ovarian cancer group and each control group were scattered on different branches of the spectrum, and the differentiation effect was not satisfactory ( Figure 2 A), whereas in the three-dimensional space based on t-SNE downscaling, there was a clear trend of inter-group separation and intra-group aggregation between the ovarian group and each control subgroup sample.
For example, a cross‐sectional, retrospective study of 1200 patients with gout demonstrated that treatment with colchicine, a general anti‐inflammatory agent, resulted in a significantly lower prevalence of MI and a clear trend towards reduced all‐cause mortality compared with patients who did not take colchicine. 2 Additionally, a randomized clinical trial evaluated the effects of canakinumab, an anti‐IL‐1β monoclonal antibody, on the occurrence and degree of gout symptoms.
The values obtained from de HR variable (Table 2 ) indicate that the control group patients have lower levels compared to the experimental group, mean of 80.4 versus 85.1, respectively, suggesting a clear trend towards a decrease, similar results to other studies 31 , 33 , finding significance in studies conducted in the hospital surgical environment 34 and intensive care patients 35 .
