According to a previous study [ 9 ], the phylogeny revealed a clear trend among strophocheilids to increase in body size, consume a wide range of vegetal matter, and reproduce through a strategy of few and large eggs, interpreted as adaptations of the digestive and genital systems.
Furthermore, downsampling experiments ( Methods ) revealed a clear trend in which astrocytes were most affected in AD, followed by oligodendrocytes and microglia, whereas excitatory neurons showed the lowest effects (Fig. 5a ; corrected two-sided Wilcoxon rank-sum test P values of <4.4 × 10 −14 (oligodendrocytes versus excitatory neurons), <8.3 × 10 −13 (microglia versus excitatory neurons) and <4.4 × 10 −18 (astrocytes versus excitatory neurons)).
While there was a clear trend suggesting that P. aeruginosa strains were more pathogenic than K. pneumoniae which in turn was more pathogenic than A. baumannii , there was strain to strain variation not just in terms of ability to kill C. elegans but also in terms of food aversion and clearance.
Although the differences among pressure groups did not reach statistical significance, a clear trend was observed, with acoustic pressures of 300, 400, and 600 kPa (corresponding to stresses of 0.05 ± 0.04, 0.15 ± 0.02, and 0.45 ± 0.12 dyn/cm 2 , respectively) inducing deflections of 65.21 ± 9.10, 70.30 ± 15.40, and 83.20 ± 10.70°, respectively ( p > 0.05; Figure A).
