Figure 4 shows a bar graph of the average A , ε m a x , ε ∞ , τ r of the 4 cell lines and indicates the level of significance: where p > 0.05 is not significant (ns), 0.01 < p < 0.05 is significant (*), 0.001 < p < 0.01 is very significant (**), 0.0001 < p < 0.001 is extremely significant (***) and p < 0.0001 is extremely significant (****), raw values can be found in Table S1 .
Among the 12 loci associated with MG in the European meta GWAS, we identified nominally significant associations with same directional effects in the CTLA4 at 2q33 (rs231779, OR = 1.17, P = 1.0 × 10 −4 ), FAM76B at chromosome 11q21 (rs4409785, OR = 1.17, P = 0.030), and TNFRSF11A regions at 18q21 (rs7239261, OR = 1.14, P = 1.3 × 10 −3 ) in Japanese (Supplementary Table 2 ).
In the resulting GLMM we found a significant difference in infection rate between female and male bat flies (averaged over species; X 1 2 = 4.56, P = 0.0327, higher in females), and highly significant differences in infection rates among bat fly species (averaged over sexes; X 2 2 = 52.83, P < 0.0001).
The CytOx kinetics measured with 1.128 mg/mL mitochondria showed that the differences between control and ADP, control and ATP, and ADP and ATP +RS ( Figure 3 A) were highly significant ( p ≤ 0.0001) according to a regular two-way ANOVA with Bonferroni Post hoc analysis.
