Excerpts
In the control group there was a highly significant difference between the Same-Function and Cross-Function relationships [ t (15) = 5.4, P = 0.00008] whereas this comparison did not approach significance in the ASD group [ t (15) = 0.9, P = 0.4].
Following a 10-fold cross-validation Lasso regularization and step-wise refinement of parameters in the regression model, the overall explanatory power of the resulting model, as shown in Figure 1 : PRS ∼ 1 + QTcB + TPEcR + TWAcR * TWDcR, was modest with R 2 = 0.09, and model fit was highly significant (F-stat = 5.5, p = 0.00008).
The difference was highly significant (P = 0.00008, unpaired t test).
Across all years (2006–13) there is an increasing trend in flowering probability in the removal treatment (trend contrast P = 0.00008) but no increase in the ambient treatment ( P trend = 0.57).
SOX4 , the most proximal gene showed a highly significant association between gene copy numbers and gene expression (ρ = 0.59, p<8×10 −5 ), as did CDKAL1 (ρ = 0.78, p<3×10 −16 ).
These differences in CD4 and CD8 compartments were significant by ANOVA (Table 2 ), with the most highly significant differences being in the CD8+ IFNγ+ subset ( p ≤ 0.00008).
When we divided the entire population into three groups—normal body mass index (BMI; <25 kg/m 2 ), overweight (25≤ BMI <30 kg/m 2 ), and obese (BMI ≥30 kg/m 2 ) individuals—the predictive performance of the 7 loci was greatest in the group of obese individuals, where the net reclassification improvement was highly significant (0.51; P =8.00×10 −5 ).
However, we found a highly significant positive relationship between persistent learning on day 1 and 24-h retention (slope = 0.80, r = +0.71, F(23,1) = 22.9, p = 0.00008).
Only one of the 1089 ligand/receptor screens for these dRy variants was positive, in contrast to 102 of 8815 screens for sequences having this Arginine, which is a greater than 12-fold enrichment and highly significant (hypergeometric p-value = 8 × 10 −5 ; Table S4 ).
The differences between the repair techniques were highly significant for both parameters: force at failure ( p = 0.00008) and stiffness ( p = 0.002) (Fig. 3 ).
The Student's t-test of the differences in 13 C enrichment at 20–60 min after the pulse and in the initial 13 C accumulation rate at 0.5–10.0 min showed that these differences were highly significant in both cases, p = 0.00008 and p = 0.050, respectively.
The area under these facilitation curves was 57.4 ± 2.8 in WT slices and 33.3 ± 3.3 in Tg2576 mice, a highly significant difference (P < 0.00008, unpaired t-test).
The difference between the changes in gamma energy was highly significant [t(886) = 3.96, p = 8.06e-5].
Finally, we verified that 13 out of the 16 life-shortening alleles are depleted in older study participants of the UK Biobank ( P =0.0021) and five of them have nominally significant association with participant age ( P =8.09 × 10 −5 ).
For the group of girls from the Vrancea region, a negative regression (F0.15 < Fsig 0.69) was obtained, the differences being also quite significant, p -value = 8.12 × 10 −5 .
The highly significant association ( P ≤ 8.17 × 10 −5 ) between seed length to width ratio and TcSNP 733 on chromosome 5 was verified with FarmCPU ( P ≤ 1.12 × 10 −8 ).
Across 16 novel and replicable loci, we found that multi-ancestry SLE-only GWAS already yielded genome-wide significant P values in 3 loci and borderline significant P values for the remaining 13 loci (highest P value = 8.19 × 10 −5 ).
Furthermore, AGPAT1 was still highly significant ( P = 8.2e-05) in a meta-analysis of variables adjusted for age and the use of thiopurines.
On chromosome ten, we identified a highly significant SNP at 9.55 Mb (ud10000588, P value = 8.27E-05) across all accessions and another significant SNP (id10002607, P value = 1.63E-04) 170 kb farther away (Fig. 2a ).
As indicated by the values: combined gene signature increased the statistical power of this signature with a highly significant p-value=8.3e-05 and HR=1.84 (1.35-2.51) ( Figure 2A ) to predict disease RFS or recurrence.
The reduction of intervertebral disc height was highly significant ( p = 0.000083), undoubtedly due to body weight and muscle activation [ 11 , 14 , 17 ].
Also, although the association between rs174548 and FADS1 was nominally significant in tissues such as whole blood and subcutaneous adipose tissue, the associations did not reach the multiple testing correction threshold (FDR<0.05, p≤ 8.30x10 -5 ).
