If we regress the alt-allele frequency in reads from heterozygotes (y-axis of Fig 3B ) onto the estimates for both a and d simultaneously, both are highly significant as positive predictors of allele frequency (p < 10 −9 for each coefficient).

A t -test comparing scores against 0 demonstrated that this behavioural effect was highly significant ( t = −8.58, p < 10 −9 ).
It was found that the proportion of depressed elderly population in India (18.2%) was significantly higher than the rest of the world (5.4%) and this difference was found to be statistically highly significant (χ 2 = 770.4 and P = 0.000000001*).
Together these show that four of the genes investigated ( HLA-C, IL12B, TNIP1 and IL23A ) show highly significant differences in expression levels between involved and uninvolved skin (all with p < 10 −9 ).
Genotyping of 419 psoriasis families further revealed that CCHCR1*WWCC (four SNPs, 2 each in exons 4 and 10) and HLA-Cw*6 allele were associated with psoriasis [4]. A genome scan of the 220-kb region (at chromosome 6p21) across 171 family-based trios of European origin, identified 59 SNPs (18 in coding and 41 in non-coding regions), of which two SNPs (n.7 and n.9 lying 7 and 4 kb proximal to HLA-C, respectively) were found to exhibit highly significant association (p < 10-9 ), sug- gesting these two SNPs as markers for psoriasis sus- ceptibility [37].
In particular, we found a highly significant correlation between WISP1 and GATA3 (p–value<1x10 -9 ) and a highly significant negative correlation between WISP1 and PPARG (p–value<1x10 -15 ).
These comparisons were also highly significant ( p < 10 −9 for all tests, one-sided Fisher's exact test) for the control participants.
The difference in medians, 13, is also quite significant ( W = 1075516.5, p < 10 −9 ).
However, the resulting brain scores are i) highly significant (all p < 10 −9 on average across both all fMRI voxels and MEG sensors), including when compared to a permutation baseline (Supplementary Fig. 3 ), and ii) in the same order of magnitude than a baseline shared-response model (or noise ceiling, Fig. 2 ) as well as previous reports (see e.g., 44 before correcting for the noise ceiling).
6B , the predictions were highly significant at the whole-cortex level ( r =.64, p <10 −9 ).
To simplify the interconnectivity between pathways and gene sets in the Circos plot, we performed filtering of data sets based on (1) limiting the KEGG pathways that are enriched for more than 10 genes ( n > 10) and (2) limiting the gene sets whose enrichment was highly significant (FDR p -value ≤ 10 −9 , the genome wide significance).
Per-dataset replication: The PCI-convergence association replicated across both datasets ( Table 2 ), with correlations ranging from r = 0.497 to r = 0.628, all highly significant ( p < 10 −9 ). φ-specificity parameter sweep: The correlation between generalized PCI and convergence peaked near the golden ratio.
This increase in responsiveness with depth was highly significant ( R 2 = 0.70, p < 10 −9 , linear regression, n = 35 imaged regions in seven mice; Fig. 2 A ; Table 1 ) and was observed in every animal tested ( Fig. 2 A ; Table 1 ; R 2 > 0.79 and p < 0.04 for all animals, n = 5 regions per animal).
However, when 1000 WBC were analysed, blasts were detected in 33/37 (89%) of MDS samples compared with 6/30 (20%) of age‐matched controls, a highly significant difference ( p < 10 −9 ).
Correlation in log fold-change among genes between the two environments was highly significant ( P = 1 × 10 −9 ) but weak ( r = 0.1).
By another GEE, we observed the expected highly significant relation ( p < 10 −9 ) between the histology‐based and MRI‐based measurement of cortical thickness (see Fig 5 ).
While the alpha-tocopherol had no effects in delaying disability, the selegiline arm show a highly significant effect in delaying the need for L-DOPA treatment over controls (P > 10 –9 ).
When compared with CON mice, both G HP E and GE mice showed a highly significant reduction of dendritic branching of hippocampal pyramidal neurons (condition effect, P < 1 × 10 −9 ) ( Fig. 4 A ).
A linear model with age as a covariate showed a highly significant effect of the condition (p < 1*10 −9 ).
The Kruskal–Wallis test confirmed highly significant global heterogeneity (H = 94.31, p < 10 −9 ).
First, two highly significant ( p < 10 −9 ) SNPs were found in the intron of krishah ( kri ), and two additional SNPs with slightly lower significance ( p < 10 −7 ) were found in the 5′ untranslated region (UTR) of kri ( Figure S3 ). kri is tightly clustered with the genes S6k and mad2 ( Figure S3 ).
Voxel values in these clusters were highly significant and two ROIs were created from the binarized clusters with a T statistic threshold T = 7.0 ( p = 1 × 10 −9 ) for the sensorimotor ROI ( Figure 1 B), and T = 5.0 ( p = 2 × 10 −6 ) for the subcortical ROI ( Figure 1 C).
Knowing that multigenic cRM represent 10% of all cRM (967/9720), 25/76 (i.e., 33%) corresponds to a highly significant three-fold enrichment ( p < 10 −9 ).
In particular, SII, SIRI, and dNLR exhibited highly significant differences between the control and both infarction groups (p<1E−9), suggesting their potential role as inflammatory and prognostic biomarkers for AMI severity.
Results We detected highly significant associations of obesity with alleles in all three SNPs (p < 10 -9 ).
