The effects of the study drugs on gut microbiome β-diversity at the OTU level were first tested statistically using a two-way NPMANOVA and the results revealed highly significant main effects for drug (F 4,65 = 3.35; p = 0.0001) and time (F 2,65 = 8.43, p = 0.0001), as well as a significant interaction (F 8,65 = 1.77, p = 0.0001).
