The pseudo-absence selection method had a highly significant (ANOVA, p = 0.0017) effect on model mean AUC values, but the interaction between model type and selection method was insignificant.
The difference in the median number of presentations between these two time periods was highly significant (post-GBS median = 16, interquartile range (IQR): 10–26; pre-GBS median = 10, IQR: 4–11, Wilcoxon signed-rank z = 3.13, p = 0.0017).
There was a highly significant difference in CN between the three conditions tested for all samples (Friedman test p = 0.0017 for EIF2C1 and 0.0046 for TSC2 ), with a significant pairwise difference between the original and Puregene CN values after Dunn’s multiple comparison correction (p = 0.0045 and 0.0141 respectively).
More importantly, the slope of the concentration-effect line was steeper for the thalamus than for the cortex for all frequency bands and the differences were highly significant (p < 0.0018 for the 126–200 Hz range; p < 0.0001 for the other bands.
In addition, mean differences between the three rank groups were highly significant for blue-red contrast residuals (Kruskal-Wallis χ 2 = 12.5, p = 0.0018) while being not significant for blue saturation residuals (KW χ 2 = 5.68, p = 0.058) and for red saturation residuals (Kruskal-Wallis χ 2 = 5.45, p = 0.065), although both are close to significance.
In the Boxers we do, despite the small sample size (n = 15), observe a nominally significant (p = 0.0019) association to fructosamine levels at the CFA3 locus which agrees with the epistatic pattern we observe between these two loci.
In the moderate and high corrected survival categories, regressions were highly significant (moderate: F 1,5 = 35.51, p = 0.0019; high: F = 9.43, p = 0.0078).
In LIS, we found a highly significant difference in salinity between restricted vs. reference sites (p = 0.0019; t 40 = 3.33), but not for temperature (p = 0.1588; t 40 = −1.44) or dissolved oxygen (p = 0.3821; t 40 = −0.88), which also mirrored results in the GOM (salinity: p<0.0001, t 40 = 11.89; temperature: p = 0.1409, t 40 = −1.50; dissolved oxygen: p = 0.2253, t 40 = −1.23; Table 2 ).
The difference between the rank totals of 30.1 (transparent) and 18.9 (opaque) is highly significant, H(1) = 9.606, p = .0019, ω2 = .184.
There was also highly significant difference in the occurrence of hearing loss between those three groups (Pearson Chi-square, p = 0.00193).
We then tested the association of target genes belonging to these pathways with PD risk, and identified nine SNPs in USP37 consistently associated with PD susceptibility in three genome-wide association studies (GWAS) datasets (0.46≤OR≤0.63) and highly significant in the meta-dataset (3.36×10 −4 <p<1.94×10 −3 ).
close to significance−log 10 ( P -value) = 2.7
Three SNP in this significantly associated cluster at a distance of 118–121 Kbp from CUBN had significant test statistics (−log 10 ( P -value) = 3.1), while two SNP in CUBN had test statistics that were close to significance (−log 10 ( P -value) = 2.7).
The significant interaction reflects that there was no significant difference between the reporting of the two modified motif types in the unfamiliar condition (p = 0.452, average response latencies for discriminating gap and noise motifs from the from the background of complete motifs were 1002 and 955 ms, respectively), whereas there was a highly significant difference in the response latencies for reporting the two modified motif types in the familiar condition (p = 0.002, average response latencies for discriminating gap and noise motifs from the from the background of complete motifs were 1219 and 1478 ms, respectively).
ANOVA revealed the familiar effect of number of fingers in common ( F (1,15) = 34.23, p<.001, η 2 = .695), a highly significant effect of congruence ( F (1,15) = 14.00, p = .002, η 2 = .483), and a significant interaction ( F (1,15) = 4.74, p = .016, η 2 = .241).
This variable explains 5.2% of total OTU variation and is highly significant (pseudo-F = 11.0, P = 0.002).
The linear trend for all four groups was highly significant (R 2 = 0.48, p = 0.002).
The results of that analysis, shown in Figure 3 , confirm that degree of perturbation was more difficult to distinguish for some PL animations compared to others, but the pattern of results was the same for healthy controls and patients, with the correlation between groups being highly significant (r = 0.85, p = 0.002).

Moreover, the average motor pointing direction in perceptual probe trials (compare Figure 6B ) correlated negatively with the average perceived pointing direction (compare Figure 3C ) in the perceptual probe trials preceded by the same manipulation: analysed on the population level, this correlation exhibited a strong effect size and was highly significant (r(7) = −0.88, P = .002).
