Clustering of MBM regarding β-values of each CpG area revealed a highly significant ( p < 2.2e−16) separation of BRAF mut and BRAF wt /NRAS mut tumors (Fig. 8a , right panel).
Excerpts
Withdrawal of glutamine reduced global translation in both conditions, but there was a highly significant increase in translation driven by MYC compared to that seen in cells transduced with the pM6P vector in the absence of glutamine ( P value = 2.2 × 10 −16 ).
This revealed a highly significant agreement of the number of events between paired replicates (Supplementary Fig. 2b , Pearson's correlation 0.997, n = 30, two-sided, p value < 2.2e−16), indicating that uvCLAP events capture the amount of pulled down RNA exceptionally well.
A logistic regression was used to check whether more Achilles-based essentiality cases are predicted to be essential by our algorithm than Achilles-based non-essentiality ones, and the results are highly significant ( p -value = 3.78×10 −16 , odds ratio (OR) = 3.62) (see “Methods” section).
Combining replication evidence from all 6 cohorts revealed an overall highly significant deviation from the expectation under the null (KS test p = 9.7 × 10 −16 , Fig. 4h ).
The differences in temporal variability are highly significant (medians for sources vs. sinks, 0.022 vs. 0.016, p < 10 −15 , two-sided Wilcoxon rank-sum test).
For extremely significant results (e.g., P < 1 × 10 −15 ), the software restricts output to 15 decimal places; in these cases, we report the smallest displayable value to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
We also plotted the USP51 protein score versus the DGCR8 protein score for individual patients, which revealed a highly significant correlation (Pearson R 2 = 0.52, P < 1 × 10 −15 ; Supplementary Fig. 7c ), indicating the relevance of the identified regulatory mechanism in human cancer.
In contrast, both adult studies showed highly significant (all P <10 −15 , matched-pair t -tests) reductions in spindle density (12% and 15% reductions in SHHS and MrOS, N =2,597 and 958, respectively), amplitude (5 and 12%) and duration (2 and 2%) across the ∼5-year period, consistent with the cross-sectional analyses.
Here we identify associations between microbiome diversity and both moderate physical activity (MPA; times per week) and vigorous physical activity (VPA; times per week) that are highly significant (Fig. 3 ; P < 10 −15 and P < 10 −15 , for MPA and VPA, respectively).
The difference between the two conditions was statistically highly significant ( p < 10 −15 , χ 2 = 2006.5, two-sided chi-square test with degree of freedom 1).
Log-rank tests of both the P cohort versus the p cohort and the P cohort versus all deaths showed highly significant differences ( P <10 −15 and P <10 −6 , respectively), and the p cohort is also significantly different ( P =10 −3 ) from the cohort of all deaths.
The baseline method ROTS that ignores longitudinal trends also performed well with an IQR mean pAUC of 0.941, while the difference to the best performing method RolDE was highly significant ( p < 10 −15 ).
1d ) fitted the standard logistic population growth model well and displayed highly significant increase in biomass ( p < 10 –15 , likelihood ratio test), which is typical for the growth of microorganisms under favorable conditions 23 .
2c and Supplementary Data 2 ); pairwise comparisons were likewise highly significant ( n = 398 and 753, respectively, both p < 10 –15 ; Supplementary Fig. 4 ).
Results for lung cancer overall are less significant after PC adjustment, but there is still a highly significant result for the ATM −2307F association in LUAD ( P = 1.18 × 10 −15 for discovery and P = 2.22 × 10 −3 for replication (Table 1 ).
While we did observe multiple cis -eQTL genes for some top candidate SNPs, such as rs73551707, these were nominally significant compared with the nearest target gene, BMP1 ( P =1.45E−15 in aorta; 1.10E−14 in mammary artery; Supplementary Fig. 19 ; Supplementary Data 12 ).
Upon analyzing the overlap between differential ATAC-seq and differential MyoD binding, we observed a total overlap of 253 differential peaks, which represents a highly significant portion of total differential ATAC-seq and MyoD peaks ( P = 2e-15) (Fig. 3g ), suggesting that Matr3 depletion simultaneously perturbs open chromatin regions and MyoD binding.
Indeed, we found a mild yet highly significant correlation between changes in gene expression in Chaserr –/– mEFs and the distance to the TTS of the closest tandem upstream gene (Spearman R = 0.2, P < 2 × 10 −15 ), with the effect observed mostly when the distance was shorter than ~6 kb (Fig. 4e ).
7f ), other T cell subtypes, such as Tregs showed a decreasing trend (adjusted one-sided JT p value = 2.96 × 10 −15 ) (Fig. 7g ), suggesting diverse etiology of clusters linked to size.
The detected PKD2 variant is absent from the GnomAD and ClinVar databases, but we found its association with CKD highly significant (OR > 1000, p = 3.7 × 10 −15 ).
Only one locus, IL23R , demonstrated true independence of the psoriasis SNP; the PsA-associated SNP rs12044149 remained highly significant ( P = 2.4×10 −14 ) after conditioning on the psoriasis SNP, rs9988642, and the addition of rs9988642 did not improve the model fit with LRT ( P = 0.21).
The ratio of known drug-disease associations among proximal drug-disease associations compared with the same ratio among distant drug-disease associations is statistically highly significant (Fisher's exact test, odds ratio=2.1, P =5.1 × 10 −14 ).
Data for bar1 Δ showed highly significant dependence on ρ α ( F 1,68 =89, P =5.2 × 10 −14 ) but no or only weak dependence on ρ a ( F 1,68 =0.003, P =0.96) or ρ α ρ a ( F 1,68 =5.9, P =0.02).
This combined result is highly significant ( P <10 −13 , Fisher's method), demonstrating the utility of an in vivo mutagenesis approach.
