A test of the trends in residuals against a null hypothesis of a distribution about a mean of zero indicates highly significant negative trends in the two cloudy sectors ( P <0.01), significant negative trends in the clear-warm sector ( P =0.03), and no trend in the clear-cold sector.
Under the deforestation since the 1970s, Amazon (15°S–0°, 40°W–80°W) surface air temperature has exhibited an increasing trend (0.26 °C per decade, p < 0.01), while precipitation has shown a decreasing trend (−0.15 mm day −1 per decade, p < 0.01, Fig. 1b , Supplementary Fig. 1 ).
a trend toward significanceP =0.01
Importantly, statistical significance or a trend toward significance was retained at other cut-points as well, including 1, 10 and 20% (PFS log-rank P =0.01, P =0.08 and P =0.03, respectively, and OS log-rank P =0.002, P =0.01 and P =0.11, respectively; Supplementary Fig. 3 ).
During the summer nighttime, the warming effect shows an increasing trend of 0.040 K/decade ( p = 0.01), but the magnitude is only about one-fifth of the daytime ΔLST s negative trend (−0.188 K/decade, p = 0.01) (Fig. 1c ).
The number of nominally significant features expected at a given p -value cutoff (e.g., p < 0.01) due to chance alone, as predicted by probability theory ([total number of features] X [nominal p-value cutoff]), was similarly found when shuffling the 1 Mb germline SV breakpoint and methylation datasets and carrying out the same analyses.
While cytokine pathway signal differs by treatment, all tested prioritized candidates—except RGS14 —show nominally significant ( t test, P < 0.01) signal in at least one treatment condition (Supplementary Fig. 9b ).
89 ZED88082A in tumor lesions from pre-CART to post-CART Among the 21 evaluable patients, 89 ZED88082A tumor uptake first declined from a geometric mean SUV peak of 4.0 (95%CI [3.3–4.8]) pre-CART to 2.4 (95%CI [1.8–3.3]) post-CART day +5, whereafter an increasing trend to 3.6 (95%CI [2.8–4.7]) post-CART day +7 was observed ( P < 0.01; Fig. 4a , Supplementary Fig. 6a ).
In particular, for each of the genomic region windows 100 kb upstream of the gene, 100 kb downstream of the gene, and within the gene body, we observed highly significant overlap between CGI probes with SV-methylation association ( p < 0.01 by linear model with covariates) and CGI probes for genes with germline SV breakpoint patterns positively associated with pediatric brain tumor patient survival (one-sided Cox p < 0.05, correcting for tumor histologic type, Fig. 6a ).
The total population size of a country had a highly significant effect ( p < 0.01) on species introductions, and a significant effect ( p < 0.05) on species establishment (Fig. 5F ).
Based on the obtained results, the data was considered not significant (P≥0.05), significant * (P≤0.05), highly significant ** (P≤0.01), or very highly significant *** (P≤0.001).
Data were analysed using the Mann–Whitney U test, in which differences were considered significant (*) at P values of ≤ 0.05 and highly significant (**) at P values of ≤ 0.01.
Presence of an actively feeding larval stage consistently displayed the lowest effect size of the three factors, was not significantly associated with the shape of the nasal, stapes or dorsal sphenethmoid, and was only marginally significant (0.05 > p > 0.01) for the otic, maxilla and quadratojugal.
The highly significant correlation (0.65, P <0.01) strongly suggests that expression levels for this gene might be the cause of natural variation in indica GPC.
S1e ) together with a strong trend toward reduced vS1 selectivity during the stimulus period ( P < 0.01, n = 21 and 31 sessions for control and APP-KI mice, respectively, one-tailed bootstrap without a multiple-comparison correction method, Fig. 1e ).
Deletions (including frameshift deletions; hGIS1, P =0.0004; hGIS2, P =0.0038), mononucleotide repeat frameshifts (hGIS1, P <0.0001; hGIS2, P <0.0001) and splice-site mutations (hGIS1, P =0.0003; hGIS2, P =0.0002) were present at significantly increased levels in both hGIS1 and hGIS2 genes, and nonsense mutations were present at statistically significant increased levels in hGIS1 and at borderline significant levels in hGIS2 (hGIS1, P =0.01; hGIS2, P =0.0613) ( Supplementary Data 3 ).
We propose that nutrient availability from weathering processes enhance peat decay in the youngest minerogenic mires studied, resulting in a decreasing trend in lawn decay rates (based on Clymo’s 29 model) with increasing mire age (Fig. 4a , R 2 = 0.9, p = 0.01).
Genes or splicing events that are nominally significant at p < 0.01 for SNP heritability ( cis - h g 2 ) are used for training predictive models (Supplementary Figure 3 ).
A 1.5-fold change expression cut-off for ratio experiments was applied together with anti-correlation of dye-swapped ratio profiles, rendering the microarray analysis highly significant ( p < 0.01), robust, and reproducible.
Memory condition (AM+/AM−) remained a highly significant predictor in both a Gaussian linear mixed model (estimate = 0.473, t = 4.793, p < 0.01) and a Poisson generalised linear mixed model (estimate = 0.195, t = 6.651, p < 0.01).
Direct comparison of VIP ChR2::EYFP and VPAC2 ChR2::EYFP PRCs therefore revealed highly significant time effects and interaction between time and cell-type (both p < 0.01) (Fig. 5f ).
The nominally significant association signal at this lead variant (rs11934731, effect size for the minor allele = 0.029 SD, P -value = 0.01, MAF = 33%) was slightly attenuated when we performed conditional analysis with MEPE p.Lys70IlefsTer26 as a covariate in the model (effect size conditional = 0.021 SD, P -value conditional = 0.06; Supplementary Fig. 1 , Supplementary Data 1 ).
Sapovirus, conversely, showed an increasing trend with an AAPC of 6.6% ( p < 0.01).
In the three CRC groups, the levels of these five urinary proteins showed a gradient with an increasing trend that correlated with disease progression, achieving the highest levels in DM ( P < 0.01 for all; Fig. 4a ).
Analysis of similarity (ANOSIM) between groups of nearby seas found highly significant differences (R statistic 0.561, and no pairs of groups approached this value, P < 0.01), thus re-affirming that the groups represented biogeographically distinct realms.
