Furthermore, UC-82B showed a trend of decreasing lycopene and total antioxidant capacity with increasing salt concentration, whereas no changes in these parameters were observed in the landraces under 60 mM NaCl.

By contrast, 60.6% (N0) and 98.8% (N2) of grain Zn at maturity was provided by post-anthesis Zn uptake, and this relationship reveals an increasing trend with increasing N supply.
One study by ( Williams, 1979 ) has reported higher oil content in late-flowering and late-maturing varieties and identified a highly significant correlation between oil content and the length of interval between flowering and pod maturity.
Statistical analysis using an F-test suggest that the observed difference in variances between both methods is highly significant (F = 0.12332, p = 6.998 · 10 −7 ).
Even though some SRIs exhibited a moderate relationship with the measured parameters, such as SRIs based on VIS/VIS and SWIR/SWIR, they showed a highly significant genetic correlation (rg ≥ ± 0.70) with DW and GY under LM and with WC under FL and LM ( Figure 3 ).
Root traits of adult plants showed a highly significant negative correlation with seedlings because root growth was stimulated in drought-stressed adult plants compared with their controls.
Highly significant was the effect on total seed weight ( Figure 7D ).
Furthermore, there was a decreasing trend in NR activity at HT that was accompanied by similar changes in leaf and shoot N, on a weight and whole-organ basis, whereas the amino acid content remained unaltered and the transcript levels for several amino acid metabolism and nitrate and ammonium transporter genes were decreased.
Patterson (1940) reported highly significant differences in high temperature tolerance in progeny groups growing in a nursery, but there was no relationship between the agronomic characters of vigor and forage production and resistance to high temperatures.

While the conversion to OF can activate a positive trend towards the increase of SOM ( Gattinger et al., 2012 ), no evidence for a similar trend has been noticed for DOM ( Hu et al., 2018 ).
It is noted that AtCAT2 gene expression was not corrected to CAT activities ( Figures 7F, H ), as when CAT activities for both wild type and transgenic plants declines under chilling-stress condition, only did AtCAT2 gene expression for wild type plants decline, while that for transgenic plants overexpressing CsDDI1 demonstrated an increasing trend during the first 4 d under the same condition.
As a general result, an increase in the concentration of bacteria and/or fungal strains in the inoculated tests was observed, although the results were more or less significant depending on the inoculant (used alone or in combination) and experimental conditions ( Table 1 ).
All the three species had an optimum temperature for aboveground biomass at 30/26°C ( Figures 4A, F, K ), a decrease in leaf biomass and area at 34/29°C ( Figures 4B, G, L, D, I, N ), an increasing trend for stem length with increasing temperature ( Figures 4C, H, M ).
Meanwhile, the analytical data showed that the chlorophyll content of the three over-expressed plants had an increasing trend, which was 1.38–1.81 and 1.52–2.81 folds of control plants under mock and salt stress treatments, respectively ( Figure 4C ).
The proportion of forest-related species showed a decreasing trend from the large forest patches toward the grasslands ( Figure 4C ).
IAAsp exhibited an increasing trend ( ca . 2.4-fold) in both control and ethylene treated fruit but a significant variation was not identified ( Figure 6 ).
The correlation between AAC and GC was negative and highly significant in HZ while little in LS.
Results Sources of Variation The effects of population, environment, and their interaction were highly significant ( Table 1 ).
After 24 h of Cd exposure, its expression significantly decreased, whereas it showed an increasing trend upon 72 h of exposure in leaves of WT plants as well as smr4/5/7 mutants ( Table 5 ).
Parr and Sullivan ( 2005 ) first suggested that the carbon occluded within phytoliths (so-called PhytOC) might be significant in the global carbon cycle, and that sequestration within phytoliths might have some potential for tackling climate change.
The increase in species richness on our studied summits reveal that climate-induced biotic change is occurring even at the world’s upper limit of vascular plant life, with possibly significant consequences not only for biodiversity, but also for ecosystem functioning and services.
While the total pool of the xanthophyll cycle pigments violaxanthin, antheraxanthin, and zeaxanthin (V + A + Z) showed an increasing trend with increasing growth PPFD, the levels of the individual carotenoids lutein and β-carotene declined between 200 and 700 μmol photons m –2 s –1 ( Figures 5B,C ).
Generally, ERF003 expression showed an increasing trend during storage in C 2 H 4 group.
These results are consistent with the highly significant main effect of nutrient availability and population density, showing that both low nutrient availability and high population density greatly limited growth of S . polyrhiza .
The stomatal morphometric estimation showed a decreasing trend of stomatal area and aperture in salt, drought, and the combination of both, whereas the number of stomata was mainly decreased with the introduction of the drought condition.
