However, in the case of snakebites, universal guidelines have not yet been established, i.e., when and under what circumstances to intervene surgically and whether it is a compartment syndrome at all, given that the mechanism of occurrence is different and depends on many other factors; however, these guidelines are unknown in most documented cases, and there is no major comprehensive study whose results could be considered significant and consistent in terms of the variables examined.
