Bacterial flow cytometry analysis of AMD fecal samples ( Fig 4 A) showed a trend toward increased IgA-coated bacteria with higher AMD GRS ( P = 0.06; Spearman’s r = 0.2) ( Fig 4 B).
Bacterial flow cytometry analysis of AMD fecal samples ( Fig 4 A) showed a trend toward increased IgA-coated bacteria with higher AMD GRS ( P = 0.06; Spearman’s r = 0.2) ( Fig 4 B).
To complement the supervised data, we also utilized an unsupervised method called PCoA, which also showed dissimilarity between AMD and control subjects, with a trend toward significance by PERMANOVA analysis ( P = 0.06) after adjusting for age ( Fig 3 B).
