In a pilot study, it was demonstrated TBUT values were insignificantly lower in 73% of KC patients and Schirmer-I test values were lower but the difference was slightly significant.[ 8 ] In another study, corneal sensitivity was evaluated by corneal esthesiometry, the tear film was investigated by Schirmer-I test and TBUT in KC patients.[ 26 ] In this study, researchers showed that corneal sensitivity and Schirmer-I test significantly lower in KC patients but there was no significant difference in TBUT between KC patients and healthy subjects.
Capsule endoscopy findings were classified according to the Saurin classification, which includes no lesions (P0), slightly significant lesions (erosions, xanthomas, lymphoid nodular hyperplasia) as P1, and highly significant lesions (angiodysplasia, tumors, ulcers, hookworms, and other parasites) as P2.
There were no significant differences between NH and HL animals across behavioral epochs for Go Trials; however, there were slightly significant increases in latency for the HL group during acquisition and mastery (Tukey HSD, behavioral latency mean ± SEM: Table 3 ).
There was a significant decrease in the latency to fall in the TBI group throughout the whole protocol compared to the sham control, vehicle control, and AZI groups; also, there was a slightly significant decrease in latency to fall in the TBI + AZI group, as compared to the TBI group, on days 7, 14, and 21, and on day 28, there was significantly improved activity observed on the rotarod task by the TBI + AZI group, as compared to days 7 and 14.
Additional analysis showed that these positive effects were statistically significant for social functioning (β-coefficient = 14.1, 95% CI = 3.1–25.1) and role limitation due to emotional problems (β-coefficient = 18.3, 95% CI = 1.4–35.2) and just slightly significant for role limitations due to physical problems (β-coefficient = 14.6, 95% CI= -0.4–29.6) after adjusting for age and education (data are not shown but are available from the corresponding author).
There is a slightly significant difference between averages for the Witmer Form Board, favoring the present (R) group, but the greatest and most significant differences, those between the averages for Intelli- gence Quotient and auditory memory span, favor the Easby-Grave group.
