This can be interpreted as ER only partially controlling the flexible selection of coping strategies ( Ziarko et al., 2020 ), which is in line with a previous study that showed how ER has a partially significant effect in reducing depression and stress during COVID-19, but not anxiety and fear of COVID-19 ( Kubo et al., 2020 ).
