Since sEBR and flexibility emerged to be related both in a linear and in a quadratic modality (even if the linear relation was only marginally significant), we tested these two modalities in two distinct models.
The difference identified between leptin levels before and after DCI was only marginally significant and, taking into account that we did not correct for the increased error probability due to multiple comparisons, is unlikely to represent a truly significant difference.
Whereas a few studies evidenced an age-related increase in its amplitude between 7 years old of age and adulthood ( Davies et al., 2004b ; Ladouceur et al., 2004 ; Overbye et al., 2019 ; Wiersema et al., 2007 ), potentially reflecting the maturation of the neural systems for error monitoring, age effect was only marginally significant in another study with participation of younger children (5–7 years old; Meyer et al., 2012 ).
The analysis of platelet activation depending on the type of modification within each of the biomaterials shows the existence of statistically significant differences in the analysed groups of platelet activation, except for strong activation on the CoCrMo alloy and moderate activation on the Ti6Al7Nb alloy, where the differences were only marginally significant.
The peri-pandemic time trends were non-significant or only marginally significant for 17 of the 21 indicators in the main analysis (Fig. 2 and Supplementary Chapter 1.1 ), indicating no major time trends beyond the mutually adjusted average impact of the pandemic.
The only marginally significant finding was a lower stranger-directed fear (SDF) score for Group 1A (singleton dogs with FDA score, had lived with other dogs previously) compared to Group 2 (singleton dogs with no FDA score; 0.364 ± 0.25 vs. 1.27 ± 0.23 respectively, W = 3.721, p = 0.042, Kruskal–Wallis with Dwass–Steel–Critchlow–Fligner pairwise comparisons).
The durability of the first injection was also influenced by baseline visual acuity, even after adjusting for recalcitrant vs recurrent disease, with every one-line worse baseline vision having a 30-day shorter durability, though this was only marginally significant.
The relation between the serum magnesium levels and the risk of hypertension was only marginally significant [ 21 ].
Though the findings were only marginally significant, the odds of reporting worsening feelings of depression, anxiety, intrusive ED thoughts or motivation to recover were nearly twice in those who reported a COVID-19-related familial economic disruption compared to those who did not report such a disruption.
NEK4 was conditionally significant in both disorders below the Bonferroni threshold, while in this construct GLT8D1 was only marginally significant for schizophrenia ( P Conditional = 0.034) and not significant for BIP ( P Conditional = 0.69).
However, Experiment 4 disrupted this pattern, with dogs choosing the unwilling experimenter tending to approach faster (though this difference was only marginally significant).
We found that the buildup of PI was associated with a linear increase in PHg activation for neutral stimuli but not for emotional stimuli (although the interaction was only marginally significant after adjusting for multiple testing).
It is perhaps surprising that the one correlation that was only marginally significant involved the two tests that are purely visuo-spatial in content (FIT and CSVI); however, the DFT correlated significantly with each of them and thus lay sufficiently solid foundations for measurement of M-capacity as a construct.
When duration of residence in the Eastern Cape was looked at ( Table 3 ) length of residence had a large effect for women (OR=3.6 for 1–34 years; OR=14.7 for 35 or more years) but was only marginally significant for men who had lived there for 35 or more years (OR=3.1).
5) Results: the effect on yield is only marginally significant and should not be overstated.
During self-regulated learning with MetaTutor only negative emotions were significant predictors of learning, but not consistently (significant for EV3 and EV6, only marginally significant for EV4 and EV5).
A small inverse correlation was observed with the expression of the stress genes (r = −0.19), but this correlation was only marginally significant and considerably lower than those observed with the highest correlated gene groups (e.g. cell cycle group with r = 0.58, see also Table S2 ).
These effects were less strong, and only marginally significant, when comparing the reminder of prior PEB condition with the true control condition.
Interestingly, our data revealed an unexpected pattern regarding experimental conditions: participants in the inclusion condition reported slightly higher levels of moral disengagement compared to those in the exclusion condition, though this difference was only marginally significant.
Even if the effect of Hand-Side was only marginally significant and there was no significant interaction of Hand-Side × Treatment observable, we think that three significant effects are noteworthy because they possibly indicate an advantage of limb activation over alertness cueing in manipulating the disturbed identification of left hands in neglect.
In line with hypothesis 3, conscientiousness affects accuracy positively, although this relationship is only marginally significant (see Table B in S3 Text ).
Nevertheless, the results do not indicate an association between a higher degree of difficulties with speech fluency and a larger gap between expressive and receptive language skills, with the only marginally significant finding actually going in the opposite direction.
The asymmetry effect for color was modest and only marginally significant.
Even though race and baseline severity were only marginally significant, they were forced into the model due to the significant differences in the racial composition of the two treatment arm groups.
