There was a nearly significant negative association between the probability that a Phase Two egg was fertilized by an extra-pair male and the number of fledged chicks in the female's nest in Phase One, controlling for female as a random factor (GLMM with binomial errors, χ 2 (1) = 3.73, p = 0.054).
The authors concluded that the 2 cm margin is safe for those with melanomas < 4 mm in thickness; however, in subsequent analyses, some have interpreted this nearly significant finding as an indication that there may still be a potential adverse effect of margins ≤ 2 cm [ 26 , 37 ].
In addition, as a representative of the A β pathology, severe frontal CAA was included, because the association between dementia and severe frontal CAA in the multivariate analysis was nearly significant, whereas the association between CERAD score and dementia was insignificant (Table 1 ).

After 16 weeks, fasting glycine levels were increased in ApoE −/− mice fed the 2% glycine diet, with this elevation being highly significant in male mice and nearly significant in female mice ( Figure 4 A; Table 4 ).
However, the coat color and ewe age had nearly significant effects on the CA and LA content, respectively.
The unscaled models identified, body weight, eugenol sulfate, S-ALAT and MRS—Liver fat were important predictors, however no predictor demonstrated statistical significance in the regression model, except eugenol sulfate, which was nearly significant (βeta 1.04; 95% CI, 0.98 to 1.09) (Supp Fig.
For all nine plots (three stimulus types × three pairs of clusters), we see consistent results across different number of bins, i.e., the group average mutual information is either consistently significant [when the dots are above the dashed line in Figure 7 (left)] or nearly significant, or consistently not significant [when the dots are below the dashed line in Figure 7 (left)].
These characteristics remained consistent in the slightly wider window condition (4 letters available to the left of the fixation and 7 letters to the right), with a nearly significant result for the number and duration of the fixations (t(29) = −1.95 and t(29) = 1.93 respectively, both ps < 0.06).
Significant or nearly significant findings in the univariate analysis were included in the multivariate logistic regression analysis.
