Data-driven methods select the most promising (nearly significant) SNPs and combine the information from these SNPs to create a summary statistic that can be associated with the phenotype of interest.
There was a wide range of RCEA for each of the complexes, with a 5-fold difference between the minimum value and maximum value for complex I, a 15-fold difference for complex II/III, and a 25-fold difference for complex IV ( Table 1 ), although RCEA of the different complexes had significant or nearly significant correlations between each other.

Residual secondary structure occurs frequently in IDPs, and a quick browsing of the BMRB benchmark used by the authors shows that BMRB ID 11526 has nearly significant alpha-helical secondary structure between residues ~60-78, reaching a maximum value of ~50% near residue 70 ( https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s12104-013-9523-1 ).
However, 20P_3.2_Bac4 and 20P_3.2_Bac5 are very closely related, so we replaced the latter with the nearly significant 6D_7.1 Bac1, leaving us with 20P_3.2_Bac4, 18P_8.2_Bac1, and 6D_7.1_Bac1.
The predictors demonstrate limited significance on albumin, although sex appears to be nearly significant.
Although the comparison results of the nucleus accumbens, pallidum and thalamus did not survive the Bonferroni correction, which may be overly conservative and result in type II errors ( Perneger, 1998 ; Righart et al., 2013 ), these subcortical areas also showed a nearly significant trend of the alterations in volumetric asymmetry.
For IL-10, the differences observed between the two groups were similar following stepwise adjustment of most models including HbA 1c alone, except for model 1 and 5; for model 3, the difference was nearly significant ( Table III ).
The frequency distribution of the SV alleles showed nearly significant differences (Wilcoxon test, P adj = 0.0678) between the prolific and non-prolific sheep and significant differences (Wilcoxon test, P adj = 0.0429) between the prolific and non-prolific goat populations (Fig. 6 E, F, Additional file 2 : Tables S32 and S33).
In addition, we evaluated the TIDE score of each OS patient and found that the TIDE score of the low CDI group was increased, showing a nearly significant negative correlation (Fig. 7 C).
They had a range of beliefs concerning the paranormal, with some of them describing themselves as “believers” and others as “skeptics.” Discussion Retro-priming and replicability While we had nearly significant results during the first study (Rabeyron and Watt, 2010 ), and more precisely a significant retro-priming effect size for the student group ( r = 0.17), close to the one reported by Bem ( d = 0.25) ( 2010 ), the results of this second study were non-significant.
However, across Passeriformes species, the interaction between leg length/wing length ratio and migratory status is nearly significant, suggesting that in the order Passeriformes, the gene associated with leg length is more likely to be present in resident species that perform better in ground locomotion ( fig. 5 ).
In the present study, the highest Arg level (110% of Lys content) increased the plasma concentrations of caspase-3; a numerical (nearly significant) increase was also noted in the plasma concentrations of caspase-8.
