“nearing significance”

In the secondary, combined meta-analysis, a total of 57 SNPs were associated with BDR at p<5×10 −6 ( supplementary table S2 ), 21 SNPs after linkage disequilibrium clumping ( table 2 ) and one SNP (rs4782614) associated with BDR as defined by per cent change in FEV 1 nearing significance (p=7.5×10 −8 ).

Also nearing significance was PRKCI (PA p = 8.63 × 10 −6 ), which had not been previously associated with CP or OFCs in general.

The model snakes mimicking the snakes found on limestone had significantly greater achromatic and chromatic contrasts on volcanic rocks (achromatic: F 1,15 = 80.13, P <0.0001; chromatic: F 1,15 = 6.930, P = 0.019), while model snakes representing the snakes found on volcanic rock only had significantly greater achromatic contrasts on limestone, however chromatic contrasts was nearing significance (achromatic: F 1,15 = 38.33, P <0.0001; chromatic: F 1,15 = 5.669, P = 0.031).

Impact of CD as measured by the CDIP-58 was significantly positively correlated with the HADS-A ( r s = 0.498, p = .001), BAI ( r s = 0.771, p < .001), and the BDI ( r s = 0.579, p < .001), and had a positive correlation nearing significance with the HADS-D ( r s = 0.422, p = .005).

Results between p = 0.05 and p = 0.1 were considered nearing significance, and results of p<0.01 were suggestive of strong support of the alternative hypothesis [ 48 ].

Partial correlations showed that the correlation remained significant (nearing significance with corrected α-level of 0.0125) after controlling for non-canonical P3 amplitude and RT to all six configurations ( r partial [24] = − 0.46, p = 0.018).

After applying Bonferroni corrections ( p =.05/3) and adjusting for covariates (age and sex), only the Vpr G41 and A55 groups was nearing significance for higher levels of QUIN compared to the Vpr S41 and T55 groups, respectively (all p =.023).

Results Our findings indicate that among the many neuropathogenic Vpr amino acid variants and immune markers examined, after applying Bonferroni corrections ( P = .05/3) and adjusting for sex and locality, soluble urokinase plasminogen activator receptor (suPAR) was nearing significance for higher levels in participants with the G41 amino acid variant compared to those with the S41 variant ( P = .035).

CD and UC patients had similar push and pull motivational factors; although, nearing significance, more UC patients wanted a natural approach ( P = 0.049, Table 3 ).

Clinically, the BEC ≥ 300 cells/μL group showed a trend towards more frequent exacerbations, nearing significance (p = 0.050), whereas patients with FeNO ≥ 25 ppb experienced significantly fewer exacerbations (p = 0.048).

In an adjusted model, only baseline GDS severity ( p = 0.00) remained significant, with a lower level of education nearing significance ( p = 0.05).

Both groups reported similar concerns across all topics, including cost, information, service access, and maintenance, with only service access nearing significance ( P =.05).

There were no sex differences in relative structure volumes or motor scores in the combined stroke group or TDC, however, relative dominant hemisphere caudate volumes were significantly larger in females for PVI (t = −2.415, p = 0.024), while relative dominant hemisphere putamen volumes were larger in males for AIS, nearing significance (t = 2.097, p = 0.05). 3.2 Volume measurement reliability Basal ganglia volume measurements had very high intra-rater reliability (dominant putamen: ICC = 0.99, p < 0.001; dominant caudate: ICC = 0.85, p < 0.05; non-dominant putamen: ICC = 1.0, p < 0.001; non-dominant caudate: ICC = 1.0, p < 0.001).

The significant association between dCLN volumes and DMT use at baseline also suggests that DMTs in general may be associated with reductions in dCLN volumes and may attenuate the effect of BCD based on the interaction term nearing significance ( p = 0.05).

There was a group difference nearing significance for the 11–13 age period ( p = 0.05, η 2 = 0.09), such that CHR individuals reported more severe stress exposure during this time range (see Table 3 ).

Left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD) and LVEDV were consistent across tertiles ( p = 0.167 and p = 0.407, respectively), while LVESV was slightly higher in T1, nearing significance ( p = 0.050).

Participants from higher socioeconomic status were significantly more likely to have adequate health literacy (OR = 0.26; 95% CI: 0.13-0.55; P < 0.001), with the association nearing significance in the adjusted model (AOR = 0.40; 95% CI: 0.16-1.01; P = 0.05), indicating a potential protective effect.

When observing the 19-channel averages for relative band power following the false discovery rate (FDR) correction for multiple comparisons, AD displayed significantly higher theta power compared to controls [U = 19, p < 0.0001, Cohen’s d = 2.7453] with delta nearing significance [U = 311, p = 0.0504, Cohen’s d = 0.5417], whereas alpha values were significantly lower [U = 183, p = 0.0004 Cohen’s d = 1.4084] (Fig. 10 ).

However, the difference in PSA velocity in patients who received EBR was nearing significance ( P = 0.051), Table 6 .

Mean (±SD) fructosamine was greater in underweight (533.82 ± 103.28 mmol/l) than overweight (436.25 ± 124.81 mmol/l; P = 0.022), and nearing significance in obese cats (428.18 ± 97 mmol/l; P = 0.051).

The operation time of greater than 3 h and the presence of anaemia were also identified as potential risk factors, with operation time nearing significance ( p = 0.051) and anaemia demonstrating a significant association with PWIs ( p = 0.02).

The loss of young leaf production between the two years was nearing significance, with less young leaf production being lost in the second year ( F 1,4 = , P = 0.051; Table 1 ).

In contrast, the group that experienced a subtype change more frequently reported symptom onset between 7 and 11 years (55.6 %), with this difference nearing significance (p = 0.051).
