The comparison of PSG sleep parameters between the two groups revealed significant differences: for macrostructure, REM sleep latency was longer in iRBD patients compared to HCs, as well as the time spent to reach the first epoch of NREM sleep stage 1 (N1), with the difference in sleep onset latency (SOL) to NREM sleep stage 2 (N2) being near-significant; for microstructure, the density of REMs and the number of arousals in REM sleep were higher in iRBD patients than in HCs.
After stimulation with Sez6L2, we observed significant or near-significant populations of CD4 + T cells expressing IFNɣ, TNFα, IL-4, or IL-17 from both H- and M-Sez6L2 immunized mice compared to sham-immunized controls (Fig. 4 C, D).

Where Moran’s I indices were significant or near-significant, phylogenetically corrected models were fitted using the “pgls” function in the R package “caper” [ 68 , 69 ]; as with GLMs before, models were initially fitted to all possible combinations of trait variables and results were then averaged across a set of top models with ΔAIC<4.
Of the eleven ELISAs applied to the ‘discovery’ cohort (n = 47, one sample was unavailable for validation), six (NrCAM, YKL-40, chromogranin A, carnosinase I, transthyretin, cystatin C) showed statistically significant or near-significant differences between CDR 0 and CDR 1 groups ( Figure 4 ); five others (PEDF, beta-2 microglobulin, clusterin/apoJ, ceruloplasmin, apoE) did not.
