Across the four mental health SF-36 sub-scores, European TAA patients had near-significant increased social functioning (median European SF-36 Social Functioning sub-score was 83.05 with IQR ranging from 71.35 to 91.80 as compared to North American TAA patients' SF-36 Social Functioning sub-scores having a median of 46.10 with IQR ranging from 44.10 to 62.30; p = 0.0518) and emotional role sub-scores (median European SF-36 Emotional Role sub-score was 78.95 with IQR ranging from 73.05 to 82.00 as compared to North American TAA patients' SF-36 Social Functioning sub-scores having a median of 41.80 with IQR ranging from 40.10 to 50.50; p = 0.0518) ( Table 5 ).
This finding as well as the near-significant relationship between PBF and delayed monetary reward discounting in non-obese women makes it tempting to speculate that non-obese women with relatively high body fat percentage, as observed here with monetary reward, may tend to consume foods that are easily accessible (more certain and more immediate) such as fast food relative to healthier meals that require time to plan and prepare.
In contrast, hypothesis 3 was not supported as there was no significant or near-significant inverted U-shaped trend between hemoglobin concentration and parkinsonism risk, nor were there significant differences in risk between hemoglobin concentration groups stratified by clinical condition (polycythemic, anemia, and healthy) or quintiles.
Peak serum lactate >4 mmol/L (odds ratio [OR] 11.7, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.85–74.19; P = 0.009), INR >4.0 (OR 4.5, 95% CI 1.02–19.90; P = 0.047), HE (OR 4.0, 95% CI 0.92–17.30; P = 0.064) and need for invasive ventilation (OR 5.42, 95% CI 1.14–25.83; P = 0.034) were identified as significant or near-significant factors associated with death or need for LT.
Association between emotion regulation distress ratings and resting and task HRV The correlational analyses on the relationship between emotion regulation and resting HRV indicated a significant (acceptance) and near-significant (reappraisal) negative association between distress ratings (self-reported) and resting HRV for both ER strategies, but did just not remain significant after FWE adjustments (Table 1 , first column).
