An initial model (Model A) was constructed that consisted only of the immediately identifiable baseline predictors with significant or near-significant differences ( p < 0.08) in univariate analysis, including cohort, history of hypertension, baseline glucose, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, and treatment assignment.

ANOVAs revealed a near-significant difference between experimental conditions for the high school sample from the prior study at 6 months (p = .08), while the current study remained non-significant (p = .83).
Publication bias assessment revealed slight funnel plot asymmetry and near-significant Egger’s test (P = 0.08), suggesting possible small-study effects favouring positive results.

[ 9 ] reported a near-significant increase ( p = 0.08) in the blood lactate concentration (12.5%) with the music and running conditions.
The near-significant interaction with surgical method ( P = 0.080) may hint that the effect of suction could differ somewhat by the extent of resection, but this would require confirmation in larger studies.
Additionally, we observed a significant main effect of sex ( p < .05; d = .31), and a near-significant sex × time interaction effect ( p = .08; d = .85) whereby the increase in PPI was trending to be greater in males than females ( Fig. 3 A).
In the SEM analysis of the cross-sectional data, we searched for models with: the causality indicated by the longitudinal analyses in Tables S12 and S13 ; higher numbers of exclusively significant ( p <.05) or near-significant (.05< p <.08) parameters; and optimal model fit (root mean square error of approximation, RMSEA) and AIC statistics.
There was also a near-significant positive trend between diversity and low-intensity developed space (estimate = 0.268 ± 0.153, t = 1.755, p = 0.080), and although shrubland was retained in the best model, the relationship with this predictor was non-significant (t = 1.598, p = 0.110).
Six traits showed a significant block-effect ( p < 0.05), and the seventh trait, late vigor (“senescence”), was near-significant ( p = 0.08).
Using one-way ANOVAs to compare means between the four groups separated by diagnosis and gender, we found significant group differences in age ( F (3,53) = 4.69, P = 0.006) and non-verbal IQ ( F (3,49) = 4.54, P = 0.007), as well as a near-significant group difference in full-scale IQ ( F (3,49) = 2.39, P = 0.080).
Whereas in unstimulated control DCs there was a significant negative correlation between CD86 expression and FD uptake ( r = -0.76, P = 0.03) and there was a near-significant negative correlation with MR expression ( r = -0.46, P = 0.08), this was not found in unstimulated lupus DCs ( r = -0.23, P = 0.33 for FD uptake; r = -0.33, P = 0.46 for MR expression).
