Statistical difference was defined by * p < 0.05 as significant, ** p < 0.01 as moderately significant, and *** p < 0.001 as highly significant, respectively.
The significance of the correlation was interpreted based on the p -value as follows: p ≥ 0.05 NS , not significant trend; 0.01 ≤ p < 0.05, weakly significant; 0.005 ≤ p < 0.01, mildly significant; 0.001 ≤ p < 0.005, moderately significant; p < 0.001, strongly significant.
Interestingly, both Procrustes and Mantel analyses identified a moderately significant relationship between the two datasets (Procrustes correlation = 0.73, p = 0.001 and Mantel test r = 0.69, p = 0.001), suggesting both communities influence each other during regeneration.
According to the correlation analysis, there is a negative, weakly significant relationship between SHSE and age ( r = −0.19, p < 0.001); with THLS‐SF, it is negative, moderately significant ( r = −0.33, p < 0.001).
