Given that in most pre-clinical studies, it is common practice to associate the total count in intensity being proportional to the total amount of activity (for example total number of tagged cells), a small variation in animal positioning can lead to a large variation in detected activity which may be significant.
Within the San Juan River sediments, Pb contribution from upstream mining is detectable and constitutes a significant fraction of the Pb contained within bed sediments, although Pb concentrations are below aquatic risk levels. Broadly consistent source attribution results observed over several decades and the asymptotic concentration trend with distance from the headwaters region suggest that the Pb background may be significant and variable in space.
We considered two possibilities: (i) DASDC corrects potential differences between simulated and real genomic features, thereby reducing the impact of distributional differences and obtaining more accurate classification results, and (ii) there may be significant differences in characteristics between the simulated genome and the real genomes, with LCT genes undergoing strong natural selection that could exhibit features similar to those observed during a hard sweep in simulated genome data.
It is tempting to speculate whether failure of CX 3 CR1 deficient cells to tubulate, or initiate differentiation into mural smooth muscle-like cells or impairment of extracellular matrix production may be significant contributors to increased microvessel porosity to blood and solutes in vivo thus providing a mechanism underlying the leaky MV phenotype.
