Generally, consistent results were observed when assessing HF (921 cases in Table S2 ) and ASCVD (517 cases in Table S3 ) separately, although a borderline significant interaction was observed between hemoglobin status and ACR for ASCVD, where the association of high ACR with risk of ASCVD tended to be stronger among those with high hemoglobin compared with normal hemoglobin or anemia ( P ‐for‐interaction, 0.074; Table S3 ).
Moreover, the inverse association between food itching and urticaria (AOR: 0.54, 95% CI: 0.29-1.02), matter itching and urticaria (AOR: 0.54, 95% CI: 0.28-1.03), allergy to pets (AOR: 0.44, 95% CI: 0.18-1.05), seasonal cruise (AOR: 0.40, 95% CI: 0.21-0.76), and childhood colds (AOR: 0.56, 95% CI: 0.33-0.97) were borderline significant in multiple logistic regression.

For the VDR gene, the haplotype A-T-G in LD block 1 (rs11574143-TaqI-BsmI), which contained the borderline significant BsmI risk G allele from previous single SNP analysis, was associated with a reduced OS of rectal cancer in comparison to the most common haplotype (HR, 2.53; 95% CI, 1.20–5.34; block global P =0.027), although this association was no longer significant when Bonferroni’s correction was applied.
The likelihood ratio test revealed that hypertension and CHD may be potential effect modifiers for the FHR-mortality association, with borderline significant interaction effects ( Table 3 ; P -interaction for hypertension = 0.07, P -interaction for CHD = 0.08).
In a French nationwide healthcare database sample of 3853 breast cancer patients, radiotherapy-treated patients had 28 permanent pacemaker implantations compared with 13 expected cases, corresponding to a standardized incidence ratio of 2.18, although the direct comparison with non-irradiated breast cancer patients was only borderline significant [ 193 ].
Furthermore, the dynamic study design led to variation in follow-up across participants, and although linear mixed-effects models were used to address missing data and confounding, the lack of correction for multiple comparisons raises the possibility of Type I errors, meaning some borderline significant findings should be viewed as exploratory and require confirmation in larger studies.
Borderline significant correlations were observed between years of specialization in pediatrics of the referents and the overall scores assigned in the items of “editorial independence” domain (r = 0.535; p = 0.09), and between the overall quality scores assigned to all CGs and the number of control visits carried out by each participating center in 2012 (r = 0.503; p = 0.11).
For the two studies that included both the total phenol content of the olive oil and hypertensive participants, an EVOO with a total phenol of 161 mg/kg [ 48 ] and one with 564 mg/kg [ 63 ] both lowered SBP, while DBP was lowered only with the 564 mg/kg total phenol olive oil and was borderline significant for the 161 mg/kg total phenols.
While no significant associations were found between GFAP or NfL levels and cognitive outcomes overall, in the SRC group, moderate GFAP levels at 26 weeks showed a borderline significant link to slower identification task (latency), while extreme and minimally elevated NfL levels at 26 weeks were significantly associated with slower identification task (latency), but moderate NfL levels were not. 104 The lack of consistent associations with moderate NfL levels suggests that this relationship may vary.
