An important novel finding from our data is that REG-family gene expression is significantly elevated in Fusobacterium-H CRCs with dramatic fold change increases detected; this includes REG1A , REG3A and REG1P , as well as a borderline significant expression for REG1B (FC = 12.2, FDR = 0.17).
Specific organ system events also trended upward, including all-grade pneumonia (significantly higher), grade ≥ 3 neutropenia (borderline significant), all-grade thrombocytopenia and anemia (both non-significant overall, but all-grade anemia became significant after CHECKMATE-602 removal), and grade ≥ 3 rash (significantly higher); in contrast, diarrhea rates were unaffected.
Post hoc analyses for level of fatigue showed beneficial effects of exercise for the highly fatigued patients, on Wordlist Learning (B4.36, 95% CI 0.47; 8.25) and Reaction Time (B-26.7, 95% CI − 52.9; − 0.6), and a borderline significant improvement on Wordlist Recognition (B0.96, 95% CI − 0.06; 1.98) (Fig. 3 and Additional file 1 : Table S6).
It showed a borderline significant association with TC in the Polish population. 6 rs1867277 was studied because it lies in the 5′ UTR of FOXE1 (or Thyroid Transcription Factor 2 ), a key gene involved in thyroid organogenesis. 7 rs1867277 and rs965513 are in moderate pairwise linkage disequilibrium (LD) in Europeans ( r 2 =0.39, D '=0.73, http://www.1000genomes.org/ ). rs1867277 was strongly associated with TC risk in Spanish and Italian cohorts. 5 None of the three candidate SNP associations has been replicated in independent studies.
A large prospective study with 409,885 participants from nine European countries (European Prospective Investigation Into Cancer and Nutrition) reports that although there is no clear association between the consumption of white fish or fatty fish and IHD risk, a borderline significant inverse association is observed in the substitution analyses [ 96 ].
Meta-analysis results PCa For cohort studies, the risk of PCa in patients with IBD were of borderline significant increase (SIR: 1.09; 95% CI: 0.95–1.22; I 2 =61.2%; Figure 2 ) when compared with the background population, as was the risk of subgroup of UC (SIR: 1.13; 95% CI: 0.93–1.33; I 2 =73.5%; Figure 2 ) and CD (SIR: 1.05; 95% CI: 0.90–1.21; I 2 =15.1%; Figure 2 ).
