Vegetable intake correlated positively with nitrate (r = 0.38, p = 0.018, Figure 2 ), inversely with HOMA-IR (r = −0.45, p = 0.005) and CRP (r = −0.61, p < 0.001) and showed an inverse association, with borderline significance versus leukocyte counts (r = −0.31, p = 0.055).
CEA showed borderline significance for good response prediction (OR, 0.57, P = 0.055) in logistic-regression analysis ( Table 3 ).
