Group 1 had a significantly higher percentage of NHW and lower of NHB, a lower prevalence of depressive symptoms at the time of entry into the study, and a lower percentage of first-degree relatives with diabetes; total annual household income (≥$50,000) barely missed statistical significance ( P = 0.0512).
Compared to placebo, the reduction in the primary efficacy endpoint at one month with atomoxetine barely missed statistical significance ( P = 0.053); however, atomoxetine significantly reduced the primary efficacy endpoint after three months ( P < 0.001).
2 ). POMC DNAm at baseline At baseline, ECT patients showed higher DNAm levels compared with UDC and HC (EMM(±SE): ECT: 0.252( ± 0.013), UDC: 0.156 ( ± 0.015), HC: 0.162( ± 0.014); Fig. 3 ). However, ECT-NR showed a significantly higher baseline POMC m when compared to the control groups (EMM(±SE): NR=0.279(±0.015); UDC=0.162(±0.013); HC=0.168(±0.012); MLM p<0.001), whereas ECT-R just barely missed statistical significance (R: 0.215(±0.018), F(2,811)=2.909, p=0.055).
Conversely, in the latter half of the study, where the training intervention shifted toward more intense training sessions and CHO intake was reintroduced in the PER group, CHO oxidation at LT and total CHO oxidation returned to baseline levels - although total CHO oxidation barely missed statistical significance ( p = 0.063) - accompanied by a normalization of fat oxidation.
Robustness check Relative error check There was a significant difference between groups in the amount of online learning on Day 1 (stroke: 83.6 ± 6.5%, control: 66.7 ± 4.8%, mean difference = 16.9 ± 7.5%, 95% bootstrapped confidence interval = 2.1–32.9%, p = 0.045), but the differences in the amount of online learning on Day 2 barely missed statistical significance (stroke: 93.2 ± 6.1%, control: 78.6 ± 4.4%, mean difference = 14.6 ± 7.4%, 95% bootstrapped confidence interval = − 0.1–29.1%, p = 0.066).

Based on the P -values calculated from the confidence interval ( 4 ), this estimate barely missed statistical significance by a two-tailed test ( P = 0.07) but did reach statistical significance by a one-tailed test ( P = 0.035), which is the more important test since the trial was designed “to determine whether adjuvant celecoxib could improve disease outcomes among women with early breast cancer”.
Nevertheless, the negative association between survival time and AIx at baseline with barely missed statistical significance (p=0.081) could suggest that the period of longitudinal observation might be too short to show an association between survival time and course of AIx.
