16 Recently, there is an increasing trend in using amine functionality such as polyethyleneimine (PEI) toward environmental remediation as it is a biocompatible polymer that has been widely used in various biological applications including tissue engineering and drug delivery. 17 − 20 While the linear PEI is mainly consisted of secondary amines, the branched PEI possesses primary, secondary, and tertiary amine groups.
Most of the peptides show an increasing trend during aging ( Fig. 4 c–e) and a limited number of these peptides had significantly lower levels in individuals of ≤6 months: C1QA (SLG), C1QB (FDH), C1QC (FQS) C1R (GYG), C5 (ILS, ITH, ELS), C8 (MES, IPG), C9 (VVE, LSP, TSN), C4BP (LSL, ALL), ficolin-3 (LLG), CFAB (DAQ, STG, YGL), and clusterin (ASS, IDS).
We have measured the emissions of solution A containing 2.4–14.2 μM H 2 O 2 after keeping the systems in the dark for 3, 24, and 90 h ( Figure 11 ) and plotted their respective F 0 / F versus concentrations (inset of Figure 11 ) to obtain the slopes which showed an increasing trend in magnitude (−0.021, −0.022, and −0.037) with time.
