The findings of our study show an encouraging trend of reduced dropouts with 21% partially immunized children as compared to 25% and 42% in CES 2009 and DLHS 4 (2012–2013), respectively.[ 3 , 10 ] Dropouts have also declined as compared to what others have reported in studies from specific districts.[ 11 ] Furthermore, among those children with immunization card, the rates of partial (17.5%) and no immunization (0.7%) coverage were further low.
This is an encouraging trend, as the reporting of CIs is now recognised as essential for interpreting the clinical relevance and precision of study results, rather than relying solely on statistical significance as indicated by P values.[ 18 ] Reporting of descriptive statistics, including mean (SD) and median (IQR), provides critical context for understanding CI usage.
Some studies showed an encouraging trend of a lower proportion of cancer patients dying in acute care hospitals and a higher number of hospice enrollments in the last month of life, but this was dampened by findings of higher rate of ICU and hospital utilization in the last months of life and higher proportion of hospice referrals in the last 3 days of life, respectively [ 32 ], [ 34 ].
