BBP across the 85 sites in the early period for Hands can be used to predict the patients’ average rating of the stimulus with reasonably high accuracy (n = 10 trials since 1/3 of the 30 unique videos were used for testing decoding performance for each randomization, r P(8) = 0.575, p 1 =9 × 10 –4 based on reshuffled distribution), and BBP in the late period for Faces with almost significant accuracy ( r P(8) = 0.331, p 1 =0.058, Figure 4e ).
From the best synchrony model (model 6; Table S4 ), the geometric mean lambda for Antarctic fur seals was estimated as 0.984 [0.974, 0.995], equivalent to an annual decline of 2% since 1985; and for southern elephant seals, the geometric mean lambda was estimated as 0.993 [0.985, 1.001], equivalent to an almost significant annual decline of 1%.
Although the Sobel test did not significantly confirm full mediation between cognitive flexibility and parental stress ( z = −1.85, p = .06), results were almost significant and indicated a clear tendency towards a mediating effect of PRF (Cohen, 1994 ; Greenland et al., 2016 ).
