Our results revealed that rs12609479 (G/A) heterozygosity was enriched in progressors compared to ECs (47.2% vs 21.7%, OR = 3.50 [1.16 to 10.59], p = 0.03) whilst rs113189798 heterozygosity (A/G) showed a strong trend of overrepresentation in ECs compared to progressors (47.8% vs 26.4%, OR = 0.39 [0.14 to 1.04], p = 0.07).

When only non‐CAA patients were analyzed ( n = 52), PiB(+) remained associated with dementia conversion (HR = 6.7 [1.1–44.2], p = .04, Figure 3c ) and a strong trend toward MMSE score decline (HR = 5.1 [.9–29.1], p = .07; Figure 3d ).
While Akt was not altered by ECC regardless of cachexia, there was a strong trend ( P = 0.07) for ECC to decrease Akt phosphorylation in C57BL/6 mice ( Figure 3 D).
