A strong trend in dental applications is to apply nanotechnology and smart nanomaterials such as nanoclays, nanofibers, nanocomposites, nanobubbles, nanocapsules, solid-lipid nanoparticles, nanospheres, metallic nanoparticles, nanotubes, and nanocrystals.
One possible exception to the general lack of benefit of more aggressive RBC transfusion is the patient with acute myocardial infarction, with the recently reported MINT trial showing a strong trend in outcomes ( Carson et al., 2023 ) interpreted by some ( Bloch and Tobian, 2023 ) as supporting a more liberal transfusion strategy in these patients and, by extension, a recognition that one size does not fit all in RBC transfusion decision-making.
In particular, the statistically significant increase of ACAN , SMAD3 , TGFB1 , and ID1 was confirmed in physiologically compressed samples even with n = 4, while the upregulation of ALK5 , BMP2 , and COL2 did not yet reach significance ( p = 0.06), but presented a strong trend following the same pattern shown in Figure 5 .
Although the percentage of CypHer5E + RTECs that ingested one of more apoptotic Jurkat cells did not differ between Elmo1 +/+ and Elmo1 –/– RTECs, we noted a strong trend toward the reduced number of engulfed cells per Elmo1 –/– RTEC (compared to control), as evident by the reduced geometric mean fluorescence index (MFI) of the CypHer5E signal (Fig. 3C ).
While MONALESSA-2 [ 5 ] has demonstrated a significant overall survival (OS) benefit with the addition of the CDK4/6-inhibitor ribociclib to letrozole and MONARCH-3 [ 6 ] showed a strong trend towards OS significance with the addition of abemaciclib to endocrine therapy in its interim analysis, PALOMA-2 [ 7 ] did not demonstrate similar statistical improvement in OS with the addition of palbociclib to letrozole.
