SUL-DUR met the primary end point of 28-day all-cause mortality showing noninferiority compared with colistin in a microbiologically modified intent-to-treat population, with a statistical trend toward lower mortality among patients who received SUL-DUR vs colistin (19% [12/63] vs 32.3% [20/62], respectively).
As a proof of concept study, we analysed the MMP11 plasma levels in the NMRI (nu/nu) tumor-free healthy mice and in the NMRI (nu/nu) mice bearing subcutaneous head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) xenograft tumors and found a statistical trend toward increased MMP11 levels in the tumor-bearing mice (Figure S6D).
Despite the very small sample size ( N = 12 in the experimental group, N = 6 in the control group receiving treatment as usual), there was a statistical trend indicating the superiority of the experimental group over the control group in global cognition, mood, and behavioral symptoms.
This finding was seen after including the two patients who did not complete this level (by assigning them predicted scores); although in our post-hoc analysis we observed that removing these patients resulted in this significant finding reducing into a statistical trend, the effect sizes for our post-hoc model (f 2 = 0.36) still indicate a large effect for the relationship between both variables 52 .
(3) Results: Greater alcohol use was prospectively associated with decreased frontal pole volume in participants with a mood disorder, but not typically developing comparison participants (time-by-group-by-alcohol interaction; p = 0.007); however, this interaction became a statistical trend in a sensitivity analysis excluding one outlier in terms of alcohol use.
Results Increased cellular presence in soft-tissue specimens Haematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining of soft-tissue specimens collected during surgery revealed a marked increase in cell count ( Figure 1 ): at the time of prosthesis removal, there was a statistical trend to elevated cell counts at 316.2 cells per mm 2 (SEM 49.81 (95% CI 212.0 to 420.5)) compared to the control group at 166.4 cells per mm 2 (SEM 30.22 (95% CI 102.9 to 229.9); p = 0.140, Kruskal-Wallis test).
fMRI results SVC using the reward anticipation mask in the three-way interaction SVC analysis revealed a significant three-way interaction in the right NAcc [4 consecutive voxels, peak (15, 8, −14), t = 3.28, P SVC-FWE = 0.017; Figure 2A ], and there was a statistical trend in the left NAcc [peak (−15, 11, −11), t = 2.88, P SVC-FWE = 0.051].
