Trends in mental health and mental healthcare use There was a small trend change in the percentage of self-reported mental ill-health before (decrease from 17.00% in 2012 to 14.03% in 2015) versus after (stabilizing values from 16.02% in 2016 to 16.47% in 2019) the start of the campaign ( Table 2 , beta: 0.11, SE: 0.04, p-value = 0.002; Fig. 2 ), but no differential effects in sociodemographic subgroups ( Supplementary Tables S3–S5 and S10–S11 ).
Despite a small trend in postural angles, our study suggests that other axial symptoms like postural abnormalities and speech impairment cannot be satisfactorily improved (at least acutely) by increasing the levodopa dose in patients with already adequate control of motor symptoms and fluctuations.
This may provide some insight into why there was a small trend for more theatre staff such as anesthetists and surgeons to change their facial hair, compared to GP's and radiologists, however, the numbers in this study were too small to make generalizations and further investigation with increased statistical power would be required to draw more definitive conclusions.
