Excluding three outliers (i.e., all-cause CV mortality in Kuwait [ 70 ], out-of-hospital cardiac arrest events in Israel [ 56 ], and acute aortic dissection morbidity in China [ 75 ]), a slight trend of higher risk with increasing deviation of the heat threshold from the mean annual temperature could be observed, yet not with robust statistical evidence, with the coefficient estimated by ordinary least squares linear regression equal to 0.002 ( R 2 = 0.19).
In addition, while the results from the random features suggest a slight trend toward increased accuracy as a function of both feature numbers and feature size, the learnt feature results clearly show that the larger feature sizes (17 × 17 and 13 × 13) generate higher accuracy with increasing number of features, while the smallest feature sizes (3 × 3 and 5 × 5) exhibits a weak downward trend with the number of features.
However, in the Morris water maze test, a test to monitor spatial working memory function, which is one of the most frequently impaired cognitive domains in patients with SZ [ 35 ], we found no significant difference between wild type and Gas7-deficient mice in latency to find the platform, although there was a slight trend for the mice to remain in the initial quadrant during the reverse phase (Additional file 6 : Figure S6B–D).
