Temporal analysis of GP ILI consultations in the United Kingdom has revealed a decreasing trend over the past 30 years, with particularly low to moderate activity recorded since winter 1999–2000 ( 14 ).

Similarly, different expression of miR-21 in tissues from atypical ductal hyperplasia, DCIS and DIC compared to normal breast was previously shown; however, with the increasing values during the tumor progression [ 51 ], that is in contrast to a decreasing trend in plasma from patients with non-invasive to patients with invasive BC in our study.

A decreasing trend of LOS has been observed in the RHSCIR data and reported in Canada 48 and the United States, 49 , 50 and whether it reflects an actual improvement in efficiency or practice or simply identifies early discharge to other facilities while patients wait for rehabilitation is debatable.

The reversal of temperature trend since 2005 is directly due to a decreasing trend of the spice component, which is in line with the weakened AMOC and corresponding heat transport.

3.2 Death from gastric cancer The number of deaths from gastric cancer was 48 632 in 2013, 47 903 in 2014, 46 659 in 2015, and 45 509 in 2016 showing a decreasing trend after widening of the NHI indications for H. pylori eradication therapy, according to cancer mortality data (1958 to 2014) from the Vital Statistics in the Cancer Registry and Statistics 19 (Figure 3 ).

The graphs confirm a decreasing trend in the weighted resistance prevalence (“AMR summary index”), but the time trends differ between animal species.

In this study, the overall prevalence of HIV infection was 476 (5.1%) but showed a decreasing trend from 2008 to 2012.

The ALP activity exhibited an increasing trend with increasing IC concentrations from 0 to 38.4 μM, followed by a decreasing trend when IC was further increased from 38.4 to 156.3 μM.

However, our findings of a decreasing trend in insulin treatment and an increasing number of obese people with diabetes (from the 2005 KNHANES to the 2013–2014 KNHANES) may indirectly reflect a rapid increase in the prevalence of type 2 diabetes in Korea.

Consistent with these results, a decreasing trend of c-Jun and c-Fos gene expression, the key proto-oncogenes related to proliferation, with age was observed ( Fig. 2C ).
