Comparing synchronized neurons with a fixed I-E delay of 5 ms, we observed a highly significant correlation (r = 0.99, P<3.1x10 -87 , Spearman Correlation, Fig. 4b ) between the excitatory input strength and the Rayleigh statistic, the criterion we used to measure the statistical significance of stimulus-synchronization.
First, we considered the intersection between differentially expressed genes and genes that are neighbours of misregulated TEs at the 2-cell stage, and discovered a highly significant overlap of 12% between the two populations (p=3.19 × 10 −87 ) ( Figure 4A ).
A Mann–Whitney U test confirmed the difference was highly significant ( U = 130,876, p < 1e-86, Cohen’s d = 2.05), indicating a large effect size.

This demonstrated that BAF and p63-dependent target genes (fold change > 3 with depletion, FDR < 0.01) displayed highly significant overlap ( p = 2.1 × 10 −86 ), with 236 genes controlled jointly by both BAF and p63 (Fig. 2h ; Additional file 1 : Figure S2f, g; Additional file 2 : Table S2).
LD score regression analysis revealed a genetic correlation coefficient of rg = 0.23 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.203 to 0.249; se = 1.15 × 10 − 02 ), which was highly significant ( P = 2.65 × 10 − 85 ).
For viscosity–transparency relationships, ANOVA demonstrated a highly significant association (F = 244.94, p < 1 × 10 −84 , R 2 = 0.98), where viscosity nearly fully explained transparency differences—likely linked to enhanced molecular alignment or suppressed phase separation in high-viscosity systems—with a negligible C.V.
This was found to be highly significant (p<10 -84 , hypergeometric distribution).
In single-variant analysis adjusted for age, sex, and the shorter apo(a) isoform, we determined that both PNR alleles were associated with a highly significant Lp(a) decrease (PNR10: β = −14.43 mg/dl, 95% CI: −15.84, −13.02, P = 3.33e-84; PNR11: β = −17.21 mg/dl, 95% CI: −20.19, −14.23, P = 4.01e-29).
